The Nature of Things Bald Eagle: Searching for Home

The Nature of Things Bald Eagle: Searching for Home

On the Pacific Coast, the arrival of salmon sparks the return of thousands of bald eagles from across half a continent. But in many places they are returning to find their habitat occupied and their food supply gone. This program explains how commercial fishing, logging and urban sprawl have destroyed salmon stocks, which in turn affects bald eagles who feed on the fish. We learn how the eagles have adapted and what the consequences of this adaptation have been.
